Acconon products represent a wide range of nonionic surfactants which are useful as emulsifiers, dispersants, solubilizers and viscosity control agents. The water and oil solubility (HLB) can be varied through alkoxylation of carefully selected raw materials that include oils, esters, alcohols or fatty acids.
Caprol polyglycerol esters (PGE’s) are generally prepared by esterification of select polyglycerol molecules with fatty acids or by alcoholysis of a vegetable oil with a polyglycerol. Their range in HLB makes them suitable for both w/o and o/w systems. PGE molecular weights vary from low to high and their form at room temperature range from a viscous liquid to a brittle solid. PGE’s are useful as solubilizers, emulsifiers, foaming agents, clouding agents, crystallization inhibitors, glossers and suspending agents. Caprol esters offer an elegant skin after feel and light, non-greasy refatting properties.
