Solubilizers & Sterotex products are fine powders prepared from food grade vegetable oils. Each batch of Sterotex is produced under strictly controlled conditions to assure consistent particle size distribution.
Sterotex products are chemically neutral, low in ash content, practically devoid of heavy metal content and are less likely to interact with actives compared to magnesium stearate and stearic acid. As a result, the usage of Sterotex often enhances the shelf life, performance and appearance of tablets. Also, the relative insensitivity of Sterotex products to mixing conditions prior to tablet compression makes them more forgiving in formulations.
Sterotex powders are widely used as lubricants and binders in pharmaceutical and nutritional supplement applications. They are also used as an excipient for sustaining the release of actives.
