In January 2000, ABITEC Corporation completed the construction of an additional 6400 square foot laboratory / office complex in Janesville, Wisconsin. The new facility accommodates offices for production, logistics, regulatory and quality assurance. Product development and synthesis can be easily carried out in the spacious state-of-the-art 3000 square foot laboratory. This laboratory is fully validated. Analytical equipment includes HPLC, GC, IR, Rheometry Measurement, Particle Size Analysis (Lasentec)and a variety of wet analysis equipment. A 300 square foot sample packaging room provides sufficient room for reserve samples and analytical record storage.
ABITEC Corporation has recently expanded its manufacturing capabilities to include a climate controlled pastillation unit. The unit is capable of producing 1,000 pounds per hour. The equipment is housed in an environmentally controlled clean room, and all operations follow GMP requirements. The free flowing end product has already proven to be popular for manufacturers preferring a pre-dosed measure.
ABITEC has completed the construction of a large capacity constant temperature/humidity chamber for accelerated stability studies. This chamber was designed to accommodate multiple drums and/or large packaging samples. The addition of this chamber will allow ABITEC to complete large scale applications testing for both pharmaceutical and cosmetic products within their research headquarters located on First Avenue in Columbus, Ohio.
