Caprol

Caprol polyglycerol esters (PGE’s) are emulsifiers made by the esterification of select polglycerols with fatty acids or by alcoholysis of a vegetable oil with a polyglycerol. PGE molecular weights vary from low to very high and therefore, form at room temperature can vary from a viscous liquid to a brittle solid. The Caprol fatty acid moieties can be hydrolyzed from the polymer in the digestive system and then follow the normal fat metabolism model.
