Caprol
Caprol polyglycerol esters (PGE’s) are generally prepared by esterification of select polyglycerol molecules with fatty acids or by alcoholysis of a vegetable oil with a polyglycerol. Their wide HLB range make them suitable for both w/o and o/w systems. PGE molecular weights vary from low to high and form at room temperature ranges from a viscous liquid to a brittle solid. PGE’s are also useful as solubilizers, clouding agents, crystallization inhibitors, glosser, and suspending agents. They prevent agglomeration in several cosmetic applications including physical sun screen agents
Captex
Captex esters are prepared from fractionated vegetable oil fatty acids and glycerin or other glycols. Captex products are specifically designed for formulators interested in highly refined light weight emollients with excellent after-feel, solvents, fixatives, solubilizers, extenders, and carriers. Captex esters have a long history of use as carriers of flavors and fragrances
Hydro~Kote
Hydro~Kote are vegetable based products designed to meet exact melting requirements and eliminate variation typically found in cocoa butter and similar products. Hydro~Kote products are occlusive skin feel modifiers and act as bases for lipsticks, blushers, balms, fragrance sticks, and in eye products such as mascara, pencils, and liners. They also provide a consistent, stable base for make-up creams, lotions, and foundations
Pureco
Pureco products are refined, bleached, and deodorized natural vegetable oils. Specific Pureco oils may be partially hydrogenated to provide melting, lubrication, and emollient properties to many diverse cosmetic applications.
Sterotex
Sterotex products are occlusive skin conditioning agents that can be used either alone or in conjunction with hard waxes to alter the hardness, texture, and melt point of lipstick and other stick formulations. Sterotex adds structure, strength, and after-feel to cosmetic stick products.
