Whether your nutraceutical formulation is targeting bone health, mental focus or increased energy, it can be challenging to ensure that your nutrients are delivered to the right place in the body and properly absorbed. A SENDS™ formulation can enhance solubility and promote emulsification of active nutraceutical ingredients (ANIs) which leads to greater bioavailability. This increase in efficiency means that a lower dose of ANI is required to achieve the desired effect, thereby reducing the dosing cost.
Formulating with SENDS™ - Self Emulsifying Nutraceutical Delivery System
Many active nutraceutical ingredients (ANIs) have solubility and/or permeability issues. Getting water-insoluble ANIs into solution to promote improved absorption is a challenge for many nutraceutical formulators.
A SENDS™ formulation uses ABITEC's functional lipids to dissolve low-solubility ANIs and enhance permeability of poorly-absorbed ANIs. The system creates a unique micro-emulsion that ensures complete release of the ANI in the desired location (or release of the ANI in an aqueous solution).
