ABITEC Launches New "Green" Ingredient for Personal Care & Cosmetics

11/26/2018

Columbus, OH – [November 26, 2018] - ABITEC Corporation continues to add new innovative ingredients that are safer to the environment to their already expansive product portfolio

ABITEC Corporation, a global manufacturer of specialty lipids continues to develop products that meet the ever-evolving demands of the specialty chemicals market.  As the demand for safer, cleaner, more environmentally-friendly ingredients continues to rise, ABITEC prides themselves on keeping the health and safety of all consumers at the forefront of their product development.  ABITEC has been in the personal care space for 20+ years and continues to see a growing need for safer products.

ABITEC’s CAPMUL® S12L sodium lauroyl lactylate is a unique semi-liquid that can be used in a variety of soap, shampoo, face wash, and other personal care products to help provide good foam and lather without the harsh chemicals.  Marketing manager at ABITEC, Amanda Coulter notes, “It is sulfate and EO free, so formulators still get nice fine bubbles that consumers desire without all those extra added chemicals.”  As many consumers are seeking more natural alternatives, manufacturers are struggling to find solutions that provide the same functionality while keeping it “green” friendly.  ABITEC’s CAPMUL S12L gives you all of the above and comes in a pourable form that makes it easier for formulators to work with.

ABITEC’s trademarked specialty lipids include Capmul, Captex, Caprol, Acconon, Sterotex, Nutri Sperse, Hydro~Kote and Pureco. Their application areas vary from pharmaceutical, nutritional and cosmetic products, to the manufacturing of foams, creams, ointments and lotions. These ingredients are produced in the USA.
